We had a wonderful night last Tuesday, 1/14/14, as we were able to pre-screen The Other One for those who made it happen. Screened at Columbia College Chicago's grand 8th floor Film Row Cinema, a fun and insightful Q&A lead by Hollywood Chicago's Pat McDonald topped off the night. We couldn't be more grateful for the feedback received! Some additional and memorable comments include:
My favorite moment was the, “Don’t ask me to open them” understanding moment between mom and daughter. Another is when David assured her he would be there with her and the transition following.
Surprising how absolutely AMAZING it was, especially considering the budget.
It’s somewhat of a ghost movie - so many ghosts, both real and imagined.
The audio was really well done and usually indie films suffer in that department, so great job!
Grace (Amber) crying on the stairs with her mom was a really impacting scene and great acting! Music was great too!
Surprising was how it effectively developed into a truly moving story, surpassing the standard signature thrill.
The two lead performances were VERY powerful!
Great Film!!! Extremely sobering and deep emotionally.
